Project 2B : Interior Rendering
From the previos model, i continued on with interior rendering first by adding on blocks and applying materials to it.
By assigning materials to the blocks, i start to place my camera and get a test rendering.
By adding in mr. skyportal and adjusting the position of the sun, i light up the space to allow me to visualise how my space will look like.
Addition of Furnitures in full daylight and a test render to make sure that im on the right track :)
more and more furnitures. To make the cabinet, i created a box and used proboolean to create the slit.
For some of the material like electrical appliances, i import from external models found on the website and attached the bitmap onto the appliances. Some even comes with fully attached bitmaps or materials.
creating the incision by using proboolean and addition of handles.
Creating lights by using photometric light in a cylindrical form. i boost up the intensity quite high in order to get the lighting i want. Then another test rendering.
more lights...
using self illumintion to glow the sphere so that it looks like a downlight :P
after i finished adjusting i duplicate and here it is.
electricl stove from external model.
and exhaust fan from external model...
it took me quite awhile to deal with the bitmap the website provide but i used the default for metal as it looks nicer.
Test rendering before post production.
Final re-adjustment of lighting and sunlight. to give it a soft and evening kind of feel.
Final rendering for my 1st interior rendering. but something turn out after i finished. noticed that the lights on top of the counter has dissapeared and there is white pixel on the surface of the furnitures and ceiling.
to fix that, i use photoshop to do a bit of touch up and added in the lights. and here it is. :) Thanks to Vincent boo for the help as he helped me out a bit with all the photoshoping. :D
2nd Rendering.
this is where i left off after last submission :)
so to brighten up the space. i use mr. skyportal and adjusting the sun position. test render to see camera position, composition and lightings.
applying matrials to the glass panels.
I added a door and some plants from external models.
i also found a switch and import in :)
addition of photometric lights
and a bit of photoshoping :) and it's all done!

Project 2A exterior rendering (continued)
To continue on with the project, i edited the Cad file and put them all into layers before i import in 3ds. the end result is extruding the walls with minimum problems encountered. :)
after the extrusion of the walls. i corrected a few by fliping the faces and creating hole for opening.
after the walls are completed. i start of with the window frames and planes. also assigning the materials to check if there's any problem with rendering to speed things up.
to optimize the use of my (not so powerful) workstation, i isolate the parts which i need to work on and here we can see the isolated plans and part of the model. this is me doing the cladding with materials :)
the column construction. i extruded ththe face to get the length i want and also double checking on the rendering and flip any faces if necessary.
the constrcution of the stairs. because of the variety of material used on this part of the model. i apply ID's to materials. so by doing so, i am able to apply multiple materials with a single drag.
(phew.. that's a lot of work x.x)
Here Comes MR SUNLIGHT. lol. lights and camera were being applied here and to check on the views. some problems are encountered here like some faces are not flipped in the interior and caused the faces to be missing.
test rendering for camera 1. it seems ok but more materials are to be added and some corrections needed to be done.
exterior test rendering. camera 2.
exterior test rendering. camera 3. getting motivated :)
test rendering of interior. need ot be adjusted to achieve the a more beautiful view.
contours are constructed using planes and with increased segments in length and width. then the modifier edit patch were being added and push/and pulled to make the contour :)
Addition of folliage. it will look better with external tree models. it looks kinda fake T.T
exterior view. with trees and mr skyportal added. i does enhanced the model. (a bit )
external view. ready to be render.
Final exterior rendering.it could be improved. but there is problem with the stairs. it should be ceramic white but it turned out to be black....
final exterior rendering. it turned out to be unexpected cause of the reflection of the contour. the bottom part looks a bit greenish .
INTERIOR RENDERING COMING SOON! :D

Project 1: Abstract Sculpture
To start of with this assignemnt, i played around with geometry and explored some of the feature.
initially i planned to start of with the body. but it turns out that it's not an easy task so i decided to start of with the wing first :)
i used a section of the tube to build the framework for the wing and extrusion.
the framework of the wing.
Rotating the wing to fit with the body.
Touch up.
The starting of the body.
Connecting the body and the wing.
Using the sphere as a guide.
Adjusting the proportion and size.
Attaching the separated geometry and used Turbo Smooth to give it a smooth finish. and colour is also applied.
applying lighting to the model.
applying material to give texture.
Test render with material and lighting.
Final product.
The sample of abstract sculpture :)
